A Weekend at a Video Game Convention
Hey y’all, Wolfie here.
This past weekend, I had the chance to visit a video game convention, and it was such a great experience!
Some of you might not know this, but I used to be pretty into gaming back in the day. A friend of mine’s band was playing at the event, so I decided to fly up from Philly and check it out.
I spent some time walking around the show floor, which was packed with incredible games, developers showing off their work, and tons of amazing artwork. I even picked up a really cool jacket while I was there.
After a while, I headed upstairs to the concert hall to catch my friend’s set. They’re a jazz fusion band that plays video game covers, blending them with jazz, soul, and funk. It was seriously awesome!
I couldn’t help but think that if I were younger, I’d probably be going to events like this all the time. These days, with kids at home, it’s a little harder to get away, but that made the trip feel even more special.
Big shoutout to mom for watching the kids while I was away. It really meant a lot.
I’m hoping I can make it to more of these in the future, and maybe one day, when my kids are a little older, I can bring them along too.
That would be something really special.
Thanks for reading, and hey, more songs coming soon!
