Bird song for kids โ€” "Little Bird!" cover art by Snuggle Bunch

Little Bird!

About This Song

There’s something special about watching a little bird hop around in a tree. Happy, wild, free, doing a little wiggle and fluffing its feathers. It just clicks with kids! “Little Bird!” captures that wide-eyed wonder. We wrote this one outside of daycare right after dropoff, it has a special place in our hearts!

This gentle family hip hop track is perfect for little ones who love nature, animals, and imagining what it’s like to fly. “Little Bird” is sweet sing-along for toddlers and preschoolers, and a delightful bop for parents, too.

Little bird in a little green tree
So happy so wild so free
Little bird in the big blue sky
So happy so free so wild

I would like to be
A little bird in a big ol’ tree
I would like to see
All the things the birdies see

Little bird, in the tree
Little bird, you and me
You might be little
But you know your stuff
You do a wiggle
When your feathers fluff

Little bird in a little green tree
So happy so wild so free
Little bird in the big blue sky
So happy so free so wild

I would like to be
A little bird in a big ol’ tree
I would like to see
All the things the birdies see

Little bird, in the tree
Little bird, you and me
You might be little
But you know your stuff
You do a wiggle
When your feathers fluff

  • I Want To Have Fun!

The title track and high-energy opener of Snuggle Bunch’s second album. “I Want To Have Fun!” is a family hip hop anthem that captures the first-thing-in-the-morning burst of energy every parent knows too well. Full lyrics and streaming links inside.

  • I’m a Little Teapot!

Your kids already know the words. They’ve been doing the handle-and-spout dance since daycare. So we took “I’m a Little Teapot” and flipped it to a hip hop bop it’s been waiting for. We kept the classic verses and added on our spin about heating up water for mommies and daddies, and how a fresh cup of tea helps us parents! Let’s be real, sometimes a teapot song is for the grown-ups too.

  • Broccoli Lovers!

When my one-year-old discovered broccoli and decides it’s the greatest thing on the planet, I wrote a song about it! “Broccoli Lovers!” was born out of watching our littlest Snuggle Bunch fan devour every piece of broccoli in sight, while his skeptical three-year-old brother looked on, unconvinced. This fun family hip hop track is a love letter to the kids who can’t get enough of the green stuff, and a gentle nudge for the ones still making up their minds.

  • Squeaky Clean!

Bath time in our house goes one of two ways: absolute refusal to get in, or absolute refusal to get out. Usually both. “Squeaky Clean!” is for that first hurdle โ€” getting everyone into the tub with minimal negotiations. Once the suds are flowing and the rub-a-dub-dub kicks in, even the most reluctant bather starts having a good time. Just please don’t pee! We’re trying to get clean.

  • It’s a Stick!

Hand a kid a stick and watch what happens! It’s a sword. It’s a rocket ship. It’s the key to an entire kingdom that didn’t exist thirty seconds ago. “It’s a Stick!” captures that wild, beautiful imagination that turns the simplest thing in the yard into the greatest toy ever made. Plus, “It’s a beautiful incredible stick!” is a direct quote from my 3 year old.

  • Peanut Butter Sandwich!

Mom made something amazing for dinner. Dad put together a beautiful plate. And yet, the kid wants a peanut butter sandwich. Every family has that one meal their kid will always choose over whatever you actually cooked, and “Peanut Butter Sandwich!” turns that standoff into a groove. No negotiations, no bribes, just pure loyalty to their favorite food no matter what else is on offer.
