Time to Take a Nap Foxy's Version - hip hop nap time song for kids by Snuggle Bunch

Time to Take a Nap (Foxy’s Version)

About This Song

One of our first songs was a lullaby featuring folk singer Mama Goose. After recording, we decided to let Foxy have a shot at recording this a laid-back, melodic spin on one of our first tracks. It hits different when you need something a little softer to wind things down. Featuring an extended outro thats designed to give parents the time to pause the music and sneak out of the room.

This gentle family hip hop nap time song is perfect for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers who need a little extra convincing that rest is worth it. Follow this advice down to the letter — nap time is great, and now it sounds even better!

Wind-down tip: this song anchors the final phase of our toddler bedtime routine playlist.

Lyrics

🎵 🎵 🎵 🎵 🎵 🎵

It’s time to take a nap, to make you feel good
If you don’t nap, you won’t feel like you should
Because nap time is great, I tell you it’s true
I’d take a nap too, but I’ve got clean up to do

Because when you nap, you feel better
Follow this advice down to the letter

Take a nap once or twice a day
It’s the best way to slay and play
It’ll keep you feeling good until the sun goes down
And when you wake up, we’re gonna paint the town

It’s time to take a nap
It’s time to take a nap
It’s time to take a nap

Nap time, nap time
Nap time, nap time

  • It’s a Stick!

Hand a kid a stick and watch what happens! It’s a sword. It’s a rocket ship. It’s the key to an entire kingdom that didn’t exist thirty seconds ago. “It’s a Stick!” captures that wild, beautiful imagination that turns the simplest thing in the yard into the greatest toy ever made. Plus, “It’s a beautiful incredible stick!” is a direct quote from my 3 year old.

  • I Had So Much Fun

“I Had So Much Fun” is the mellow, end-of-day reprise from Snuggle Bunch’s second album. A gentle wind-down version of the title track that helps little ones settle after a big day of playing, laughing, and running around. Full lyrics and streaming links inside.

  • Time to Take a Nap

Nap time isn’t just for kids — it’s a survival strategy for the whole house. “Time to Take a Nap” is the original nap anthem, and it keeps it real: naptime makes everything better! And yeah, we’d nap too if we didn’t have cleanup to do.

  • Inside Voices (Let’s Keep It Down)

You know that moment when your kid has exactly one volume setting (and it’s too loud?) When baby brother just nodded off, the teacher’s mid-sentence, and your child picks right now to test the acoustics. “Inside Voices (Let’s Keep It Down)” is for every parent who’s ever done the frantic whisper-shush while their kid stares back like you’re the unreasonable one.

  • Ask For Help!

There’s always that one snack, the favorite toy, the thing your toddler absolutely needs right this second. And instead of asking, they’re already scaling the furniture like a tiny rock climber with zero safety training. “Ask For Help!” is the song for that moment. It’s a gentle reminder that parents are tall for a reason, and there’s no shame in letting someone reach it for you.

  • Ducky! (Quack Quack Quack)

“Ducky! (Quack Quack Quack)” is a little different from other Snuggle Bunch songs. It’s an experimental, sample-based track born from a moment of pure joy — watching my one-year-old spot his favorite rubber ducky and completely lose it with excitement! It’s not a lyrical deep-dive, and it’s not trying to be. It’s a vibe! Playful, chaotic, and overflowing with the kind of happiness only a toddler and a bath toy can create.
